Registration Instructions
Go to http://meritbadge.info/mbn
I) Register on the website as the Unit Leader
for your Unit (Troop):
II) Register Scouts for Merit Badges:
- Go back to
http://meritbadge.info/mbn/default.aspx page
- scroll down the page to
Akela District Merit Badge College
event toward the bottom
- click on Sign Up
on the far right
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page and
select your name in the Unit Leader Roster box. Each Unit must have
2 Unit Leaders attending with their scouts.
Now begin filling in the information for the Scout
- Enter name, age, contact information. Use the
contact information of parent or guardian
- You will need to select the session number
first, then the activity or class. Use the Akela District
2008 Merit Badge College Class Schedule PDF as reference.
- Click on the blue add link to
ADD the Scout and class
- Repeat the above to add more classes for the
same Scout, maximum is 4
- When all Scouts have been entered Click on
Show & Print Roster at the top of
the screen
Show & Print Roster provides Unit Leader with:

Summary of All Scouts registered for your Unit
·
Summary of All fees and Total Amount due
·
Click on column header to sort columns
·
Ability to copy and paste the summary to Excel spreadsheet
Avoid Entering Scouts
for 2 Classes at the same time
The system will not
warn you in any way if a Scout is registered for 2 classes at the same
time.

Go to Show & Print Roster
screen (link at top of registration screen)

Order the data according to Last Name by clicking
on the Last Name header.

Scan over to the Session column and make sure that
none of the Scouts are registered for 2 classes at the same time. If a
Scout is, click on the back arrow of the browser menu bar at top and go
back to the registration screen. Delete one of the classes the Scout
was registered for by clicking the delete button on the far right.
Show and Print Advancement Results gives a
list of the Scouts, classes and check box
If you need to change a class for a Scout
To change a class for a Scout, first ADD
the participant to a new activity, then DELETE
the old activity
Event T-shirts: T-shirts will be available
for order this year. Place order for shirts at the payment screen. The
cost for event shirts is $10.00. Very few extra t-shirts will be on-hand
the day of the event.
Payment: online payment is available this
year. Registration fee and t-Shirt fee will be included in the total.
