Dear Unit Leader,

We wanted to inform you that James Mintz, our District Executive submitted his notice to the Council recently that he had accepted a position with Landmark Aviation.  James stated that he ultimately wants to get into teaching and that he plans to get his master degree while he works at Landmark. 

James is getting married this fall and we wish his fiancé and him a life full of joy and happiness.  We wish James much success with this new chapter in his life and we thank him for his 14 months of service to the Akela District.

Our District has had many successes during James' watch.  We have invited James to attend the May Leader's Round Table to provide us with an opportunity to thank him for his service to our district.  All unit leaders that had established a relationship with James are encouraged to attend.

Our Scout Executive, Rodney Carpenter and Field Director, Dan Dobbins are working through the process to fill our open District Executive position.  We will notify you of the successful candidate as soon as that information is available.

Please consider attending the District Leader Roundtable at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 10 to help us express our appreciation to James for his service to the District.
