Scouts and Leaders Needed for the Jamboree!

Steve Worrell, the council 2010 National Jamboree Chairman recently announced that the council again in 2010 will have 5 Troops attending the 2010 event.  Each troop will consist of 36 Scouts and 4 Adult leaders.   So there will be 180 Scout slots and 20 adult slots available to be filled from our council.


Registration for Scouts is open to all scouts who meet the following qualifications:

- be at least a First Class Scout by jamboree time

- have completed the 6th grade or be at least 12 years old by July 1, 2010 and have not reached his 18th birthday by August 3, 2010

- participate in a pre-jamboree training week-end in May 2010

- have filled out a Jamboree medical form

- active in a troop or team for at least 6 months prior to July 1, 2010

- be approved by your Scoutmaster and the council jamboree committee

The Troop adult leadership will consist of a Scoutmaster, first, second, and third Assistant Scoutmasters.
