 IMPORTANT:   Before getting started, click on the tutorial and go through
 the interactive simulation of the online charter renewal process. 

To renew a charter online:

 1.  Sixty days before your unit's expiration date, select a renewal processor.

 2.  Sixty to 45 days before the unit's expiration date, the renewal processor clicks Recharter Now
      and begins the process.

 3.  When the online process is completed, the renewal processor prints the completed charter
      renewal application.

 4.  The unit leader and the chartered organization representative sign the charter renewal application.
      Bring the application along with the material you received in your recharter packet (such as the
      Quality Unit application and Charter Agreement), and all appropriate fees, including insurance
      fee to your district's charter turn-in meeting.

Training records and advancement records can not be updated online.  These updates must be turned in with your recharter paperwork.  To update training records turn in a Training Attendance Report that lists the Adult's name, name of training course(s) taken and the date of the course(s).  To update advancement records list the scouts' name and all ranks missing on an advancement form.   This will ensure that the data will be entered into ScoutNet is a timely manner.
