May Ordeal / Brotherhood Weekend |
For candidates that were called out at Summer Camp in 2006, this will be your last opportunity to complete your Ordeal. Please look below for lots more information about the weekend: What to bring, when to check out and so forth. Please note that you must be at camp by 7:00pm on Friday and supper will be served.
When: May 4-6, 2007
Where: Cherokee Scout Rreservation
Costs: $15.00 for members, $30.00 for Brotherhood, $35.00 for Ordeal Candidates
Deadline to register: Friday, April 27, 2007 (After that, there is a $5.00 Late Fee!)

What is the Order of the Arrow?
The Order of the Arrow (or as most people call it, the OA) is Scouting's National Honor Society. It was founded in 1915 by Dr. E. Urner Goodman and Carroll A Edson at Treasure Island, the Council camp for the council in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Units hold elections where Scouts are selected based on their adherance to the Scout Oath and Law. Requirements are at least First Class, 15 days and nights of camping within 2 years prior to the election (must include 1 and not more than 1 long-term camping experience), and Scoutmaster approval.
What will I need to bring?
Sleeping Bag with Ground Cloth
Personal tent
Class A Uniform
Normal Camping Gear
Personal Hygiene Kit
Towel & Washcloth
Work Clothes & Gloves
Spending Money for the Trading Post (T-Shirts, Hats, Lodge Flaps, Cokes, Candy, etc)
Sleeping Bag with Ground Cloth,
Wear Work Clothes, Baseball Hat and bring Gloves
Flashlights, Knives, Water Bottles, Food, Radios, CD Players, Cell Phones
When to check out:
Sunday morning between 9:30am and 10:00am.
