Spring Fellowship ‘07

March 16-18 @ Cherokee Scout Reservation

 


Start making plans to attend the first event of 2007!  It will be packed with fun activities for the weekend including service to Cub Scouting with our Webelos – Ree. In addition to the Webelos – Ree, there will be events all weekend for everyone including: 

  • Friday night Carnival with astronomy; ice-cream freeze-o-ree; field games; campfire; crafts
  • Saturday: Chapter Competitions; Outdoor Exhibits; Pioneering demos;  Leader Chili cookoff
  • Indian Affairs crafts; demos; post-dinner games
  • Quest Competition; OA Training
  • Sunday Breakfast; Worship service; LODGE meeting

In addition, it’s time for you to convert to Brotherhood and seal your membership in our Order.  The cost for the weekend is only $33.00, which includes excellent food, your new Sash, and a patch!  If you are just coming for Saturday supper, then the cost is $18.00 to cover the cost of the meal.  Deadline to register is Friday, March 9, 2007.  After that date, you will be assessed a $5.00 late fee.

Dues must be current to participate in Lodge events.

 

Text Box: Relax!  The steps to becoming a Brotherhood Member are really not that tough.  Here's all you have to do:
1.	Be active as an Ordeal Member for 10 months and make sure that your Lodge Dues have been paid for next year.  They only cost $10.00 per year.
2.	Learn the Obligation:  Page 10 in Your OA Handbook
                   I do hereby promise on my honor as a Scout that I will always and faithfully observe and preserve the Traditions of the Order of the Arrow, Wimchtendienk, Wingolauchsik, Witahemui.  I will always regard the ties of brotherhood in the Order of the Arrow as lasting and will seek to preserve a cheerful spirit even in the midst of irksome tasks and weighty responsibilities and will endeavor, so far as in my power lies, to unselfish in service and devotion to the welfare of others.
3.	Learn the words to the Official Order of the Arrow Song: Page 13 in Your OA Handbook
Firm bound in brotherhood, Gather the clan  That cheerful service brings to fellow man.  
Circle our council fire, weld tightly every link  That binds us in brotherhood, Wimachtendienk.
4.	Be able to demonstrate the handclasp, repeat the Obligation, state what the Admonition is and what it means, the symbol of our Order, and what       WWW means.  Also, explain the Ordeal and what it means.
