Exciting new system to welcome and register new Scouting youth and families on-line!

By popular demand, we are excited to offer prospective Scouting families a more convenient and efficient way to join Scouting. On-line registration is here! This means less time chasing applications, collecting money, dropping-off applications in-person at the Council Service Center! The online registration system to register new Scouts in your unit is now available!
To access and implement the on-line registration system, please follow the steps listed below. Each unit’s Key 3 (unit top leader, committee chairman, and charter organization representative) have access to the system.

  1. Create or update your My.Scouting account profile
  2. In My.Scouting, update the “Contact Us” pin in To start accepting applications, units must change their Pin Mode to Unit, Status to Active, and your Apply Status to Active. You can also add your unit’s web address, primary contact info., etc.)
  3. The Council has configured the On-line Registration System to accept credit card payment only when registration is submitted. Only the BSA national registration fee and Boys’ Life subscription fee is collected through the on-line payment system. Units have the capability to inform applicants about any activity fee, the amount, and what it covers.  At this time the option to accept adult applications on-line is not available because our council requires all adult volunteers to complete youth protection training before registering.
  4. Watch the Training Video
  5. Review and bookmark the Guidebook for specific instructions on using the Invitation Manager, Applications Manager, obtaining your unit’s “join now” URL code, and taking action.
  6. Complete your Preparation Checklist
  7. Check your emails for a daily summary of actions to take. If you receive an email it means a lead or applicant on your dashboard needs a response. Please respond within 24 hours of receiving new leads or applications.
  8. Review the FAQ Document

Once these steps are complete, your unit is on it’s way to accepting online registration.  Below is an example of what your Be A Scout Pin will look like.  From My.Scouting, you can also find a specific url code and QR code to use with your unit's web site, flyers and promotions.
