A staff member trained in First Aid is on duty at the Health Lodge at all times. A physician is on call 24 hours a day, and area hospitals and medical centers are 20 minutes away. The camp emergency phone number is 336-625-9944. Parents need not worry because professional medical attention will be given each person if necessary. In the event of minor medical emergencies, a Scout leader will be asked to transport the patient to the local hospital in Asheboro NC. This allows the Health Officer to remain in camp should they be needed again. All efforts will be made to contact parents or guardians in the event of an emergency, so please fill out health forms completely prior to camp. All medications that must be taken while at camp should be well labeled, and a copy of the dosage schedule given to the Webelos leader who will leave it at the Health Lodge.
